I LOVE teaching and my Major Workshops are crammed full of fantastic students. Part of what I have always offered is Individual Critiques, which take up huge amounts of my time. I felt constrained offering more workshops to share all my juicy knowledge because I just couldn't fit any more emails in my day.
I also had a whole bunch of ideas for mini-classes - things that need their own space, but aren't BIG workshops.
So what to do when I have so much more to share?
Simple solution really - offer classes that are entirely self-guided. You get the info. I get to share. We are all happy!
My vision for Artini is as a 'Club' for Mixed Media artists to 'hang-out', enjoying what is on the menu. That consists of a series of creative shots designed to boost your artistic confidence. Some can be tossed back in a wild, creative weekend, others are better off being sipped at slowly and savoured. The best part is , even if you binge, you can't get a hangover... life is good!
They are completely self-guided, but I am around for questions here: click
Unless it's a technical: click here.
Turn "I donʼt know what to draw" into " I need a bigger journal!".
Drawing is a great tool for untangling and expressing every emotion from the
heaviest burden to floating-way-above-cloud-nine.
But we have to get that infernal inner-critic to pipe down,
to allow your natural drawing talent the confidence to roam freely.
In Draw Happy 2 we make a Frolicaholic Journal.
We say goodbye to perfectionism and abandon self-criticism about our creativity.
Your Invitation video - press play!
Creating a Frolicaholic Journal takes you and your inner-critic on a journey together.
Just as when traveling with friends, you see sides of each other that you never knew.
You deepen your relationship.
There may be a squabble or two, but you can become family!
I believe Drawing belongs to everyone.
This mini workshop encourages you to
silence the inner-critic by understanding it.
Draw Happy 2 encourages you to embrace you own creative rhythm
and make yourself a beacon of artistic light.
The class is self study and all materials are available
as soon as you step into the classroom.
We may be the only ones who can hear that infernal internal critic that tells us the way things should be...
but that silent inner voice can be LOUD!
What to expect in this Mini Workshop
In my 'Major Workshops' ( see below), I create a time frame and have a system for Feedback so I can mentor you through the homework.
All the workshops on Artini are designed for self-guided study. So as a Frolicaholic,
you are the master of your own destiny ! You can work as I did, and dedicate yourself to the Frolicaholic Journal
for a solid week, or take a year to let this process unfold.
In the videos I will show you:
If you decide to join me in Frolicaholicville, all you need to is create and upload your Frolicaholic Journal...
do that and you get the keys to the city!
So are you ready? If you are skeptical of my processes, techniques and tips,
then treat my methods like an experiment.
See if it resonates.
I hope it does sweet pea, I hope it does!
So are you ready? Let's go frolic!
Express Yourself: dRaw Emotion
Drawing is theatre, and knowing which features to emphasise and how
will turn your drawings into works of art.
Express Yourself shares exactly how I get expression
and feeling into my artwork and how you can do it too.
Being able to draw confidently unbottles your creativity
and delivers a joy that flows into the rest of your life.
We will be exploring a whole range of human emotion
and how to successfully convey that into our mixed media faces.
Here is your Video invitation:
Why draw faces?
I believe we are drawing different versions of ourselves and familiars.
And just like in our dreams, figures seldom look the way they do in real life.
That's what makes art so interesting!
All of these people that live in our pencils and pens are
facets of ourselves that want to be heard.
Praise for the workshop:
"Hi awesome Jane, Last night I watched all the videos in the 'subtle changes' lesson. Thank you for showing the wonderful birth of a character in your creative process, I learnt so much! I love the way you share knowledge - your teaching and communicative skills are extraordinary. Every day I wake up excited to travel in a world I've always wanted to journey through and you are providing the skills and the chance for me to practice the skills I need for the adventure. Artini Express Yourself is a dream come true.
Thank you, Jenni Edgar"
We will launch straight into the expressions, so if this is your first class with me,
you may be best starting with Supplies Me where I teach the basics
of constructing the face as well as show you how to use your art supply stash.
Express Yourself contains 10 Lesson showing a variety of artwork and techniques.
It is $85 and is open for online Self Study now.
All of the class materials are available to for 12 months.
Enjoy the arty party!

I step into my studio each day not expecting to bring out any masterpieces. That is not my purpose. Instead I hope to find places to start, ideas to continue and the inspiration to strike out with confidence on a creative path. A great day is finding a new way of working that gives a fresh perspective, or to discover how a slight twist of a line can bring unforseen, impactful results
I’m looking for ways to sink into my work. Ways to keep moving. Ways to make meaning.Ways to…Continue
